ETH study on mobility behavior in Switzerland – the impact of external costs on mobility habits
The ETH Zurich, the University of Basel, and the ZHAW wanted to conduct a research project to examine mobility behavior in Switzerland. The aim was to find out if external traffic costs in the area of traffic jams, climate, and health will have an impact on people’s mobility habits.

The Swiss Climate Challenge: MOTIONTAG technology behind Swisscom, Postfinance, Migros Pioneer Fund and SwissEnergy climate protection app
The Swiss Climate Challenge app aims to raise awareness and motivate the population to use more climate-friendly modes of transport. To do this, Swisscom needed a technology that would make it possible to track participants' mobility patterns and subsequently calculate their CO2 emissions.
